About Me

Hi! I'm Jess, a freelance writer from the UK, now based in LA. I have over five years of experience writing engaging and informative content for various industries, including the Japanese and UK travel and tourism industries, arts and culture, food, and immigration.

Born in Wales, I was raised in an Egyptian household, giving me an early taste of the world outside the UK. After completing an English MA, I was lucky enough to spend four years living across East Asia, which allowed me to gain unique insights into Japanese, Chinese, and Korean culture. I've also travelled extensively across Asia and Europe.

I have significant experience as a Japan travel writer and also create bespoke UK and Japan travel itineraries based on my first-hand knowledge.
